J.D.'s new flagship product is MARERP, an integrated resource management system optimized for the shipbuilding industry.

MARERP is a program developed to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized shipyards by improving processes that were previously managed manually. It is designed for integrated management of complex processes and large volumes, including design volume management, sales management, and production management.

As a solution specialized for the shipbuilding industry, Marerp not only computerizes and visually expresses design drawings and quantity management, but is also compatible with existing commercialized design SW.

In particular, customized systems such as quantity management and purchase management, which are essential functions, can be built so that even small and medium-sized shipyards can introduce and use it at a low cost.

In addition, it also provides a comprehensive security solution by establishing a database through server construction, building a data management system for each type of dry dock and ship, and building a server and software firewall.

◇ Development of maritime life-saving, surveying, multi-purpose water drones 

J.D.'s current focus, along with Mareb, is on the emerging industry of maritime drones.

There are three main types of drones depending on the purpose of operation: multipurpose drones, marine rescue drones, and marine survey drones.

Multipurpose drones are developed to self-restore in the event of a capsize in an unstable marine environment and perform temperature and salinity measurement, video recording and transmission, remote control, and autonomous driving functions.

It is designed to minimize the possibility of capsizing in the ocean and is used for coastal surveillance and water resource protection.

The marine rescue water drone was developed to compensate for limitations such as the lack of rescue personnel and the low utilization of aerial drones due to the growth of the marine industry.

Compared to aerial drones, it can approach the victims closely and is designed with a structure specialized for rescuing and transporting distressed people. In particular, it has the advantage of being able to check the status of the victim in real time as there are fewer operational constraints due to weather conditions.

Finally, marine survey drones observe and analyze meteorological and oceanographic information and physical information in real time through ultrasonic radar and observation sensors.

Data can be utilized in real time through a mobile land control system, and it is equipped with remote control and autonomous operation functions. In addition, it is highly versatile as it can be equipped with various additional functions such as specifications, shapes, and equipment according to the convenience of the customer.

Currently, JD has acquired a total of 12 intellectual property rights (8 registrations and 4 applications) related to its products through the development of Marerp and water drones, and is constantly striving to research and develop new technologies.

Based on these technologies, the company won the Excellence Award at the 2019 WiseU Investment Competition in the Southeast Region and the Ministerial Award from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2020.
